Once an inning has started, no player may switch defensive positions with another player or position himself in a manner that alters the established order of the defensive positions.
Specifically:
1) No player may switch positions with, assume the position of, or insert himself between the first baseman and the second baseman.
2) No player may switch positions with, assume the position of, or insert himself between the shortstop and the third baseman.
3) No player may switch positions with, assume the position of, or insert himself between the Rover and the shortstop.
4) No player may switch positions with, assume the position of, or insert himself between the left fielder and the left-center fielder.
5) No player may switch positions with, assume the position of, or insert himself between the right-center fielder and the right fielder.
6) No player may switch positions with or assume the position of the catcher.
Any defensive player may move anywhere on the field, provided he does not dislodge another defensive player from his assigned position or otherwise alter the established order of the defensive positions.
If after an out the Defensive Team is seen to have violated the rule above, the offensive team will be awarded a hit and all runners move up a base even if they are not forced to
Defensive positions may be changed only for the following
1) A pitching change which could alter many other positions in the process
2) A player is injured or ill which could alter many other positions in the process
Once the runner reaches first base safely, he is considered to be in the field of play if both feet are fully over the first baseline. Merely having part of his feet on the line does not count as being in play. When both feet are in the field of play indicates that he is in play and is subject to being tagged out. However, if the first baseman requires the runner to touch the white bag rather than the safety bag, the umpire must decide whether the runner was genuinely attempting to advance to second base or was merely forced into the field of play by the first baseman's positioning while trying to catch the ball. If the runner had no choice but to step into the field of play to avoid contact, this is not considered an attempt to advance to the next base.
The runner is only ruled out when an obvious motion or attempt to advance to 2nd base is observed.
Any and all foul tips or foul pop-ups caught by the catcher are outs. There is no restriction as to the height of the ball.
Hitting an illegally pitched ball is considered a delayed dead ball situation. If a play follows a batted fair ball, the umpire will allow the play to continue. Once the play is dead, the offensive team can choose to decline the umpire's call of an illegal pitch and accept the result of the play, or they can choose the Illegal Pitch to be called a ball.

2) Overrunning First Base
Once the runner reaches first base safely, he is considered to be in the field of play if both feet
are fully over the first baseline. Merely having part of his feet on the line does not count as
being in play. When both feet are in the field of play indicates that he is in play and is subject to being tagged

trying to catch the ball. If the runner had no choice but to step into the field of play to avoid
contact, this is not considered an attempt to advance to the next base.

5) Hitting An Illegal Pitch
